Legal advice
First of all, we are available to provide you with detailed legal advice, in which you will be given a competent and cost-benefit-oriented overview of the intellectual property rights that apply to your invention. Of course, our patent attorneys and our law firm employees are subject to confidentiality. We also carry out preliminary research for possible existing third-party intellectual property rights for you. For all proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court, people who have neither a place of residence nor a branch in Germany must be represented by a patent attorney or lawyer

Of course, we are also available to you in the context of exploitation issues, for example when drafting and analyzing license or purchase agreements.
Registration of a property right
After the order has been placed, the patent attorney works out an application for intellectual property rights in dialogue with the inventor, which is then submitted to the responsible authority. We work with qualified and renowned colleagues when it comes to registering intellectual property rights abroad. All property right applications go through at least a formal official examination, after which the property right is usually registered. However, for patent applications, a request for examination must be submitted before they are granted.
Infringement of intellectual property rights
Your protected invention or trademark can be copied by third parties, which may result in a violation of your intellectual property rights. However, you may also be violating the intellectual property rights of third parties, resulting in a conflict with a counterparty.
In the event of infringements of intellectual property rights, we work closely with lawyers to assist you and analyze the case constellations as well as your own/opponent's intellectual property rights so that you can assert your interests in the ordinary courts in the best possible way for you.
However, we make a special effort to make preferential out-of-court agreements in order to keep the cost risk as low as possible.
Granting or registration procedure
In the patent granting process or in the trademark registration process, we provide you with commentary as patent attorneys and formulate the necessary submissions to official decisions to obtain a property right with the maximum possible scope of protection for you.
Objection procedure
Even after a property right has been granted or registered, your property right can be attacked due to older rights of third parties. Here we thoroughly analyze the scope of protection of the opposing property right for you and find an optimal result for our client either within the framework of an extra-official agreement or in official proceedings.
